Program Description
Body
Are you still suffering withdrawal symptoms from the end of Downton Abbey or more recently Sandton? Has the pleasure of those series been rekindled by Victoria?
Downton Abbey was set in the Edwardian Age as the power of England’s landed aristocracy declined. Life in Victorian English Country Houses explores country house life at its height in the Victorian Age. Topics include: the economic basis, the houses themselves, hierarchy upstairs and down, annual calendar and daily schedule, eating, dressing, playing, and decline.
