Program Description

Body

In the 248 years since 1776, the US has been at peace for only 17 years. War is the norm, not the exception.

Join Crafton Public Library as we welcome back Jeff Benton for his third lecture series, United States Wars in the Twentieth Century+. The course will focus on causes, results, and some strategy, but no tactics (who shot who and with what caliber).

Weekly on Thursdays, September 5th through October 31st, 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM

Call 412-922-6877 to register!

Jeff Benton was born at Tinker Field during World War II; grew up as an Air Force dependent; attended The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina; and retired from the Air Force as a colonel after 26 years of service in the States, Asia, and Europe. He has taught military history in Air Force ROTC and at the Air War College. While serving in the Air Force Doctrine Center, he participated in writing the first formal Air Force Doctrine.
